For transport refrigeration systems, compressor reliability directly affects the safety of temperature-sensitive goods during transportation.

Unlike stationary refrigeration systems, truck refrigeration units and van refrigeration units often operate under challenging conditions, including frequent startup, changing ambient temperatures, long operating hours, and variable cooling loads.

During startup, the evaporator pressure can rise rapidly, causing higher suction pressure and increased compressor load. If this pressure is not properly controlled, the compressor may experience overload, excessive current consumption, and reduced service life.

To solve this problem, many refrigeration systems use a Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) with Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP) function.
